Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency Appoints Spokesperson

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in Indonesia has officially appointed Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari as its spokesperson. This decision stems from a recent closed-door working meeting between BGN and Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which focused on the BGN's budget allocation for 2027.

In the meeting, we received various constructive inputs from Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives. One of them was related to the importance of strengthening the public communication function within BGN.

BGN Head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang explained that the appointment of a spokesperson was a direct response to constructive input from several members of Commission IX. She emphasized the importance of a dedicated spokesperson to enhance institutional communication and ensure information reaches the public in a more organized and effective manner.

"In the meeting, we received various constructive inputs from Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives. One of them was related to the importance of strengthening the public communication function within BGN," Nanik stated. She highlighted that BGN manages several strategic programs of public interest, necessitating a clear communication channel for rapid and accurate dissemination of policies, achievements, and updates.

Therefore, we decided to appoint Mrs. Agustina Arumsari as the BGN spokesperson. We hope that BGN's public communication function will become stronger, more open, and responsive to the public's information needs.

Nanik expressed confidence in Arumsari's comprehensive understanding of the agency's policies, work programs, and strategic issues. She believes Arumsari's experience will effectively bridge communication between BGN and the public, media, and other stakeholders. The agency is committed to transparency and open information as part of good governance, aiming to foster healthy, transparent, and data-driven communication.
