Indonesian anti-graft body probes 'nominee' ownership of prosecutor's house

Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating a house in Sentul, Bogor Regency, which was searched by the National Police's special anti-corruption unit. The house is reportedly owned by the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, but the KPK suspects it is registered under a nominee's name.

KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, Aminudin, stated that Adriansyah allegedly used a nominee unrelated to his family to own the property. This practice, if confirmed, would explain why the Sentul house does not appear on Adriansyah's official wealth report (LHKPN) for 2025. His reported assets in that document only include properties in South Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bandung City.

Adriansyah himself acknowledged the Sentul house as his private residence during a press conference on Friday. He stated that the property has been his for a long time and that its ownership process can be verified from the beginning. The house was previously searched by the police, who reportedly found cash and gold bars there.

During the press conference held at the Attorney General's Office in Jakarta, Adriansyah addressed the discovery of assets at the Sentul property. He maintained that the house is indeed his personal dwelling and that its ownership history is transparent. The KPK's scrutiny highlights concerns about potential discrepancies between public officials' declared assets and their actual holdings, particularly when properties might be held indirectly.
