Indonesian matchmaking program 'Golek Garwo' facilitates 19,000 marriages

The "Golek Garwo" program, initiated by Forum Taaruf Indonesia (Fortais), has successfully guided approximately 19,000 couples toward marriage since its launch in 2006. Now approaching its 20th anniversary, the program continues its mission to facilitate serious matchmaking, recently participating in the Nikah Fest and Islamic Wedding Expo in Jakarta.

Alhamdulillah kegiatan Golek Garwo sudah berlangsung kurang lebih 20 tahun, sejak 2006, dan berjalan setiap tahun. Program Golek Garwo sudah bisa meluluskan 19 ribu pasangan yang akhirnya menikah, termasuk saya sendiri yang merupakan alumni Golek Garwo.

Ryan Budi Nuryanto, Chairman of Fortais, highlighted the program's longevity and success, noting that it runs annually and has personally benefited him as an alumnus. He described "Golek Garwo" not merely as a social gathering but as a dedicated forum designed to connect individuals with a strong intention to marry. The program aims to be a facilitator, bringing together single men and women from across Indonesia and even internationally to find life partners.

Participation in "Golek Garwo" is straightforward, with registration available online or in person. The primary requirement is a genuine commitment to marriage, as Nuryanto stressed that the program's success hinges on participants' serious intentions. Fortais offers extensive support throughout the process, covering all costs associated with finding a partner and solemnizing the marriage, including the dowry, ceremony fees, makeup, and honeymoon.

Interest in the "Golek Garwo" program continues to grow, with initial registrations for the current year reaching around 350 participants and steadily increasing. Nuryanto expressed optimism about reaching a thousand participants, citing the consistently high numbers from previous years. The program's comprehensive and free support system underscores its commitment to helping individuals find lasting marital unions.
