The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have taken a decisive step by forming a dedicated Hajj Task Force (Satgas Haji) in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This initiative directly addresses the persistent problem of illegal Hajj practices and fraudulent travel agencies that prey on the devout aspirations of Indonesian citizens seeking to perform the sacred pilgrimage.
