Indonesian Police Hold Prayer Ceremony for 80th Anniversary

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) marked the upcoming 80th anniversary of Hari Bhayangkara with a spiritual observance, holding a Dzikir and prayer ceremony at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque at Polri Headquarters in Jakarta. This event, which took place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, followed the "Upacara Pemuliaan Nilai-nilai Tribrata" or the purification of the Rastra Sewakottama banners, led by the National Police Chief, General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The Dzikir and prayer session was attended by high-ranking officials from the National Police Headquarters, heads of work units, and police personnel across Indonesia participating virtually. This collective prayer served as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty and a plea for strength, protection, and smooth execution of their duties in serving the community, nation, and country. The solemn atmosphere at the mosque underscored the deep significance of the event for all Polri members as they approach their 80th year of service. Brig. Gen. Pol. Abas Basuni, Head of the Public Relations Division, emphasized the event's role in reflecting on the core values of Tribrata, which guide the moral and ethical conduct of police officers. He expressed hope that as Polri enters its 80th year, it will become more professional, adaptive, and solution-oriented in facing challenges, while remaining closely connected to the public.
