Indonesian religious groups hold vocal contest for Independence Day

The Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) of Paniai Regency, in collaboration with the Oikumene GPdI Anthiokia Enarotali Church, successfully organized a vocal group competition to commemorate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The event took place in Enarotali and was attended by approximately 300 participants and guests.

The attendees included local government officials, members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri), religious and community leaders, and members from various churches in Paniai Regency, Central Papua Province. The atmosphere throughout the competition was filled with joy, brotherhood, and national spirit.

Reverend Hans Tebai, the Chairman of FKUB Paniai Regency, explained that the competition served not only as a contest but also as a platform to strengthen inter-religious fellowship. He added that the event was designed to foster a spirit of unity and nurture the younger generation through positive activities.

"Through praise and song, we build togetherness, strengthen brotherhood, and at the same time prepare the best sons and daughters of Paniai Regency to compete in higher-level Pesparawi events," Tebai stated. The competition aimed to encourage participants to hone their vocal talents for potential future participation in more significant religious music festivals.
