Indramayu Police Arrest 30 Drug Suspects, Including Four Women

Indramayu police have dismantled a drug trafficking network, arresting 30 suspects in a three-month operation that targeted drug abuse cases across 17 sub-districts. The crackdown, which ran from April to June 2026, resulted in 25 cases being uncovered.

Among those apprehended were four women, who were involved in the illicit drug trade. Police Chief AKBP M Fajar Gemilang stated that 26 of the suspects acted as dealers, while the remaining four were users. The operation covered a wide area, including Indramayu, Sindang, Kedokanbunder, Pasekan, Sliyeg, Widasari, Losarang, Patrol, Bongas, Sukra, Anjatan, Gantar, Gabuswetan, Cantigi, Krangkeng, Lohbener, and Kertasemaya.

From the total 30 suspects we secured, 26 people acted as dealers and four people as users.

Authorities seized a significant quantity of illegal substances, including 129.68 grams of methamphetamine, 76.04 grams of synthetic tobacco, and four ecstasy pills. Additionally, 3,347 pills of various controlled substances were confiscated, comprising 1,868 hexymer, 1,113 tramadol, and 210 dextro pills, among others.

Operational assets belonging to the suspects were also seized, including 27 mobile phones, cash totaling Rp 1,714,000, six digital scales, and seven motorcycles. The police indicated that dealers of methamphetamine and synthetic tobacco with over five grams of evidence face life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years. Those with less than five grams face up to 12 years. Dealers of controlled substances could receive between five and 12 years in prison.

For dealers of certain hard drugs, we charge them under Article 436 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health. The criminal penalty ranges from five years to a maximum of 12 years in prison.
