INEOS Grenadier Prototype Arrives in Mexico, Limited to 30 Units

In a market increasingly focused on digital interfaces and comfort, the INEOS Grenadier remains committed to its core purpose: delivering genuine off-road capability. The brand has now introduced the INEOS Grenadier Prototype in Mexico, a limited edition that pays homage to the origins and rigorous development process of its iconic 4x4.

The Grenadier's story began unconventionally in 2017 when a group of adventure enthusiasts, concerned about the dwindling number of true off-road vehicles, decided to develop a new one from scratch. While the industry leaned towards refined, urban-oriented platforms, INEOS prioritized capability, durability, and functionality. Combining British design, German engineering, and French production, the Grenadier underwent one of the industry's most demanding testing programs. Over 130 prototypes traversed global terrains, glaciers, deserts, mountains, and jungles, accumulating more than 1.8 million kilometers before entering production.

This development phase directly inspires the new Grenadier Prototype edition. Far from a mere cosmetic update, this special version adopts the visual language of the test vehicles. It highlights technical components, exposed materials, and design details that emphasize the underlying engineering. INEOS states that the Grenadier Prototype retains all the mechanical and off-road prowess of the standard model while celebrating the honesty of its construction and the journey that brought the project to life.

For the Mexican market, availability is extremely limited, with only 30 units slated for sale: 20 Station Wagon versions and 10 Quartermaster pickup variants. Each vehicle will feature an individually numbered plaque, underscoring its exclusivity for collectors and brand enthusiasts. "Prototype represents a celebration of everything that makes the Grenadier special: its honesty, its engineering, and its ability to emotionally connect with people who still value vehicles built with purpose," commented Rodnei Silva, INEOS's general director in Mexico. The limited edition starts at $1,925,000 MXN, with reservations now open through participating dealerships and the brand's Mexican network.
