Inoke Ravuiwasa's Rugby Dreams Realized After Years of Sacrifice

Fijian prop Inoke Ravuiwasa is experiencing a career breakthrough, finally reaping the rewards of years of dedication and sacrifice in club rugby across Australia and Fiji. This past month has been particularly significant for the former Suva and Police front-rower, culminating in a contract with the Fijian Drua for the upcoming season and a coveted place in the Flying Fijians squad for the Pacific Nations Cup.

Ravuiwasa's rugby path has been a long and arduous one, taking him through the competitive club scene in Australia, the Skipper Cup, and provincial rugby competitions in Fiji. He also represented the Skipper Select side in a pre-season match against the Drua and recently featured for Taveuni in the Skipper Cup. Reaching this professional and international level has been a lifelong aspiration.

"This is not new to me," he said, noting that he has previously trained alongside many of his current teammates. "One time we used to train together and it’s not new, but I’m grateful to be here with them again and to represent our country."
