Inside Amaia Salamanca and Rosauro Varo’s luxury retreat in Marbella

Amaia Salamanca has found in Marbella a place where filming life can be kept separate from family life. The actress spends part of the summer on the Costa del Sol with Rosauro Varo and their three children, in a home designed around the warm months.

The family chose Guadalmina, one of the best-known residential areas of San Pedro de Alcántara. The neighborhood sits near the sea and offers quick access to Marbella and other points along the Málaga coast. The property occupies roughly 3,000 square meters, including a house of about 600 square meters distributed over three floors.

The home follows contemporary lines, with open spaces and large windows that bring in natural light and connect much of the interior with the garden. The living room centers on gray, beige and other neutral tones, alongside a modern designer fireplace, shelving and carefully selected decorative pieces.

Interior designer Luis García Fraile, the son of journalist José María García and a friend of Salamanca and Varo, created the interior project. He added touches of color without changing the home’s minimalist base.

In summer, much of the family’s life moves outdoors. The property has a large garden with lawns, trees and several areas for spending time outside. A pool forms one of the main features, surrounded by a relaxation area with wooden furniture. The garden looks toward the Málaga mountains, combining proximity to the Mediterranean with an inland mountain landscape. Natural plants appear both outdoors and in parts of the interior, linking the garden visually with the main rooms.
