Integrated boarding school opens in Bandung Regency, West Java

The Integrated People's School (SRT) 4 in Bandung Regency, West Java, has officially begun operations for the 2026-2027 academic year, welcoming 560 students for their initial orientation. This new boarding school aims to provide a comprehensive educational environment for students from elementary to senior high levels.

PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), the company responsible for the school's construction, announced the completion of all facilities. Dian Sovana, Corporate Secretary of PT Brantas Abipraya, expressed the company's commitment to supporting educational infrastructure. "We are grateful that the construction of SRT 4 Bandung Regency has been completed and is now being utilized by the community. For Brantas Abipraya, every infrastructure we build must provide real benefits," Dian stated.

The SRT 4 Bandung Regency houses 56 elementary students, 229 junior high students, and 275 senior high students. The school's integrated, dormitory-based concept includes separate buildings for each educational level, student dormitories, housing for teachers, a mosque, a multipurpose hall, a canteen, and sports facilities like a mini-soccer field and basketball court. The opening ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the Chief of Presidential Staff.

Officials highlighted that adequate educational infrastructure is crucial for both the learning process and character development. "Education is a long-term investment for the nation's progress. Through the development of quality infrastructure, we want to contribute to sustainable social impact, expand access to education, and support the emergence of a superior and competitive Indonesian generation," Dian added. The government also revealed plans to expand the People's School program significantly, increasing the number of locations from 166 to 182 in 2026 and aiming for 500 locations across the country by 2029.
