Inter buys Spence for RM141.64 million

Inter Milan has secured the signing of England defender Djed Spence, who joins the Italian club on a permanent transfer reportedly worth 30 million Euros (approximately RM141.64 million). The 26-year-old has penned a contract with Inter that runs until June 2031, marking a new chapter in his career after four seasons with Tottenham Hotspur.

Inter officially confirmed the transfer, describing Spence as a player who will bolster the Nerazzurri's defensive capabilities. The club stated, "The England right-back, born in 2000, joins the Nerazzurri from Tottenham on a permanent deal. Spence has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2031."

Tottenham had initially acquired Spence from Middlesbrough for around 14 million Euros in July 2022. During his time with Spurs, Spence made 85 appearances and scored two goals, establishing himself as one of the team's most promising defenders. His performances also contributed to England's third-place finish in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which likely boosted his market value.

This transfer is not Spence's first experience in Serie A, as he previously had a six-month loan spell at Genoa from January to June 2024. He now returns to Italy permanently with the ambition of helping Inter maintain their domestic dominance and compete for success in Europe.
