Inter Miami Collects Donations for Venezuela Earthquake Victims

Inter Miami CF players and staff have joined efforts to collect donations for Venezuelans affected by recent earthquakes. The club, in collaboration with the city of Doral and the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), organized a donation drive to gather essential supplies for those impacted by the seismic events.

The initiative began on June 25, one day after earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela. Collection points were established at two locations: the stadium near the club's official store, open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET, and the Inter Miami CF stadium in Fort Lauderdale, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Both sites are scheduled to operate until July 3.

Inter Miami emphasized the importance of categorizing donations for efficient distribution. Accepted items include non-perishable food, canned protein, water, work tools, flashlights, batteries, basic medical supplies, personal hygiene products, and baby items. The club extended its condolences to families who lost relatives and reaffirmed its commitment to the Venezuelan community.

Philadelphia Union has also launched a similar donation campaign for Venezuela, with collection points in Chester, Pennsylvania. The club, which features Venezuelan player Jesús Bueno, has set up two donation sites, with one opening on June 27.
