International media outlets have closely followed the removal of Tamás Sulyok from his position, drawing attention to his past remarks on Hungary's democratic and legal frameworks. The Guardian, in its reporting, emphasized Sulyok's own words regarding the detrimental impact of constitutional reforms on the rule of law in Hungary.

According to The Guardian, Sulyok had previously stated that the seventeenth amendment to the constitution marked a "watershed" moment for Hungary's constitutional democracy. The British newspaper further noted that this legislative move was part of Hungary's broader effort to dismantle Orbán's power base following his decisive victory in April.

Brussels-based news portal Politico characterized the months-long campaign to remove Sulyok as a substantial political challenge for Hungary. The report suggested that Hungary was hastily attempting to secure a central campaign promise: to end Orbán's influence. Although Sulyok was not a member of Orbán's Fidesz party and remained relatively unknown, he had become a symbol of the Hungarian government's deep-seated influence.
