Internationally Wanted Drug Trafficker Arrested in Bodrum Operation

An international fugitive wanted for drug trafficking has been apprehended in Bodrum, Turkey. Sefkan Doğan, 33, was identified as being in the popular coastal town and was the subject of a red notice issued by Interpol-Europol.

Following the identification of Doğan's potential location in the Turgutreis neighborhood, law enforcement agencies launched a technical and physical surveillance operation. Police, gendarmerie, and national intelligence teams tracked the vehicle Doğan was using to the Gürece neighborhood, where they intercepted and detained him.

During a search of Doğan's person and the vehicle he was driving, authorities discovered a substantial amount of cash and other items. Seized assets include 8 mobile phones, 4 SIM cards, 3 high-end brand watches, 37,950 euros, 5,150 dollars, 6,050 Swiss francs, and 101,200 Turkish Lira.

The operation was conducted under the coordination of the Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, highlighting a multi-agency effort to bring the wanted individual into custody.
