Investigation underway after man’s body recovered from Quebec lake

Quebec provincial police have recovered the body of a young man who drowned in the Lake of Two Mountains, located south of Montreal. The victim, described as being in his 20s, was pulled from the water by divers early Monday morning.

Emergency services were alerted Sunday afternoon when the man and a woman were swimming in the lake and drifted into a deeper, unsupervised area. The woman attempted to assist her friend but was unable to, and was subsequently rescued by individuals on a passing boat.
