Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who accuse her of failing to uphold her commitments in building and promoting the mental health platform Wondermind. The suit, filed in a Delaware federal court, alleges that the investors, who collectively put $1.2 million into the venture, were misled about the company's operational structure and potential for profit. Investors expected Gomez to leverage her significant social media influence, boasting over 404 million Instagram followers, to bolster the platform. The lawsuit names Gomez and other founders, including her mother Mandy Teefay, claiming they presented a "false picture of the company's infrastructure, management, and partnerships, as well as plans to make the business profitable." The investors assert that promised celebrity endorsements and interviews never materialized. Representatives for Gomez and Wondermind have not yet responded to requests for comment.
