Tim David, Batter, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has been fined 25% of his match fee and has also accumulated one Demerit Point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials during Match No. 20 against Mumbai Indians (MI).

Hardik Pandya has been fined INR 12 lakhs for maintaining a slow over-rate. This penalty comes as MI's first offense of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct, indicating a lapse in pace management during the game. The league's regulations are strict on maintaining the game's tempo, and such fines serve as a deterrent against delays that can impact the match's flow and viewership.

Meanwhile, Tim David of RCB faces a more significant penalty, including a 25% fine of his match fee and one demerit point. David was found to have breached Level 1 of the IPL's Code of Conduct for "disobeying an umpire's instruction during a match." This occurred on two separate occasions, involving his playful interaction with the ball after it was damaged and subsequently replaced. Despite repeated requests from the umpires to return the ball, David persisted in handling it, demonstrating a disregard for official directives. He admitted to the offenses, and the sanctions were applied as per the IPL release.
