Ipswich Town Negotiating Signing of Paraguayan Forward Julio Enciso

Newly promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town is reportedly in negotiations to sign Paraguayan international Julio Enciso. The 22-year-old forward previously had a successful loan spell at Ipswich from January to June 2025, where he made 13 appearances, scored 2 goals, and provided 3 assists.

British press reports, citing sources like communicators Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs, indicate that Ipswich Town is nearing a deal to bring Enciso back to the club. The Tractor Boys are keen to finalize the transfer, with manager Gary O'Neil having previously worked with the player.

Enciso's current contract is with French Ligue 1 club Racing Club de Strasbourg, which is part of the BlueCo consortium that also owns Chelsea. In Strasbourg, Enciso scored 12 goals in 42 matches, attracting interest from several clubs. His potential return to the Premier League would mark a significant step in his career, having joined Brighton from Libertad in Paraguay in mid-2022.

Despite his young age, Enciso has already earned 37 caps for the Paraguayan national team, scoring 5 goals. His international experience includes appearances in World Cup qualifiers, friendlies, Copa América, and the recent World Cup.
