Iran calls Israel 'threat to humanity' after minister's Lebanon remarks

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has vehemently condemned Israel, labeling it a "threat to all of humanity" after Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir issued a provocative statement. Ben Gvir declared that "all of Lebanon must burn" in retaliation for the suffering of Israeli mothers.

The genocidal sect of death based in Tel Aviv is a threat to all of humanity. It threatens all human beings. Its only interest is permanent war.

Amirabdollahian shared Ben Gvir's post on X, emphasizing that the statement was not the "ranting of a genocidal lunatic" but a public declaration from Israel's National Security Minister. He asserted that the "genocidal sect of death based in Tel Aviv" poses a threat to all people and is solely interested in perpetual warfare.

Ben Gvir's inflammatory message stated, "For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must cry. All of Lebanon must burn!" He added, "With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to everyone that the blood of our children and the security of our citizens are not adrift."

These exchanges occurred as the Israeli army launched new attacks across Lebanon, reportedly causing at least 18 deaths. This escalation follows a memorandum of understanding between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and U.S. President Donald Trump, which included an end to hostilities in Lebanon. Iran has repeatedly warned that the Lebanese front is a red line that could derail the agreement with the U.S. if Israeli attacks continue.
