Iran retaliates with Haifa strike, warns of global economic fallout from regional attacks

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it carried out a missile strike on a chemical facility in the Israeli city of Haifa. This action was presented as a direct response to what the IRGC described as a U.S.-Israeli attack on an Iranian petrochemical site.

The IRGC issued a stern warning, asserting that continued assaults on civilian and energy infrastructure in the region could trigger far-reaching global consequences. Amidst these escalating tensions, a significant explosion was reported in Tehran. Iranian media attributed some of the detonations to the activation of air defense systems. In parallel, Iran's judiciary announced legal actions against 3,121 individuals accused of "collaboration with the enemy," labeling them as "traitors and mercenaries."

Meanwhile, the Israeli military stated its air force had completed an "extensive operation against strategic defense systems of Iran." The operation reportedly involved numerous fighter jets and targeted air defense systems deployed across Iran.
