Iran says technical talks with US conclude in Switzerland

Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that the four-party talks concluded with an agreement on the structure for future negotiations. The talks followed a high-level committee meeting on Sunday to monitor the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, a framework agreement signed by the US and Iranian presidents on June 17.

"Necessary understandings were reached," he said, according to Iran's IRNA news agency. The Swiss talks are a continuation of the diplomatic process supported by Qatar and Pakistan, who are mediating efforts to achieve a comprehensive settlement and enact the terms of the memorandum.
