Iranian regime insider threatens Gulf states, Israel if Tehran's energy infrastructure is attacked

A figure close to the Iranian regime has issued a stark warning, threatening devastating attacks on critical infrastructure in Gulf states and Israel should Iran's civilian facilities be targeted. Mohammad Marandi, a former senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that "tonight will be the last night of normality" for Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and potentially Oman.

Marandi explicitly stated that if Iran's civilian infrastructure faces strikes, "the critical infrastructure of these partner regimes, alongside that of the Zionist regime and perhaps Jordan as well, will be destroyed." He advised people in these nations to "immediately prepare to evacuate."

Based on statements by the Trump administration, it appears entirely possible that after months of barbaric threats, tonight will be the last night of normality in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and perhaps Oman as well.

This threat follows reports that US military officials are concerned about insufficient missile defense resources to protect Israel. According to The Washington Post, a senior US military commander privately warned the Pentagon that he might have to prioritize defending the U.S. homeland over continuing to protect Israel from Iranian missile attacks without additional naval support, specifically a U.S. Navy destroyer.

The US Navy is reportedly under strain due to a blockade of Iranian ports ordered by the Trump administration. This confrontation disrupted oil and goods movement through the Strait of Hormuz, impacting the global economy. U.S. Navy destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean have long been part of Israel's defense network.
