Iranian Supreme Leader invites Muslim nations to collaborate, warns US against regional bases

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has extended an invitation to Muslim nations, urging collaboration to resolve regional instabilities and advance the Islamic world. Speaking on X, Khamenei positioned Tehran as a willing partner for fostering regional ties during the Hajj season.

"I, with sincerity and purity of intention, invite all Islamic countries and governments to friendship and cooperation in goodness, so that, by working together, we may take steps towards the advancement of the Islamic Ummah and the resolution of the Islamic world's problems," Khamenei posted.

However, Khamenei also delivered a sharp warning to Washington, declaring that regional territories would no longer act as protective zones for U.S. military installations. "America will no longer have a safe haven for mischief and the establishment of military bases in the region," he stated in a written message. These warnings come after recent U.S. military strikes targeting Iranian missile launch positions and maritime vessels near the Strait of Hormuz.

The Pentagon described the strikes as "self-defence," but they threatened a fragile ceasefire and complicated de-escalation efforts. Khamenei also lauded the operational readiness of Iran's regular military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), attributing Iran's strategic capabilities to a spiritual revival.
