'Iron Pot Chef' Lim Tae-hoon Joins Donation Drive Through Restaurant

Chef Lim Tae-hoon, who gained fame as the 'Iron Pot Chef' on Netflix's 'Black and White Chef,' is now participating in the 'Babo Nanumteo' donation campaign through his Chinese restaurant, 'Doryang.' The foundation 'Babo Nanum' announced on the 13th that Lim has joined the campaign, which encourages business owners to donate a portion of their profits to aid neighbors in need.

I am happy to be able to participate in sharing through Doryang, which I operate.

The 'Babo Nanumteo' campaign is open to various businesses, including restaurants, hospitals, and cafes, regardless of their size or industry. Chef Lim's participation signifies a commitment to ongoing charitable efforts. Previously, in July, he donated 30 million won from the sales of his stir-fried noodle (jjampong) meal kits to 'Babo Nanum.'

This earlier donation was specifically intended to help young adults preparing to live independently by providing them with kitchenware and household items. Chef Lim has a history of community involvement, including volunteering his culinary skills at orphanages and participating in activities at facilities for people with disabilities. During the Gyeongbuk wildfires last year, he cooked and served meals to evacuees at a shelter in Andong.

'Babo Nanum' was established in 2010 to continue the spirit of love and sharing of the late Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan, who referred to himself as a 'fool.' The foundation collects donations from citizens and corporations to support those in need both domestically and internationally.
