Islamic Affairs Ministry holds course in Yaoundé to promote intellectual security

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs has opened its third scientific course in Yaoundé, focusing on what it calls the link between correct creed and intellectual security. The five-day program is being held through the King Salman Center in Cameroon’s capital.

The course targets imams, preachers and students of Islamic knowledge. Its sessions cover the value and importance of seeking knowledge, adherence to a correct creed based on the Quran and Sunnah according to the approach of the early generations, and the promotion of moderation and balance.

The program also presents Saudi Arabia’s approach to adhering to the Quran and Sunnah, along with its efforts to serve Islam and Muslims and spread the values of tolerance and moderation.

Other topics are aimed at preparing religious leaders to communicate sound Islamic knowledge and strengthen intellectual security in their communities. The course warns against extremism and deviant ideas, while emphasizing coexistence and tolerance. The ministry said the event forms part of its religious and educational programs outside Saudi Arabia.
