Islamic Military Coalition and Türkiye discuss stronger counterterrorism cooperation

The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition and Türkiye discussed ways to deepen cooperation against terrorism and extremism during a meeting at the coalition's headquarters in Riyadh.

IMCTC Secretary General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi met Türkiye's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Emrullah Isler, on Monday. Their talks focused on cooperation in areas of mutual interest, closer coordination and stronger collective action against terrorist threats.

Al-Moghedi reviewed the coalition's main activities, programs and strategic initiatives across four areas: ideology, media, counterterrorist financing and military affairs.

Both officials stressed the need for stronger international efforts and effective partnerships to combat terrorist organizations and disrupt the ideological and financial networks that support them. They also praised the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement as an important step toward closer cooperation.
