Israel Eliminates Hamas Military Leader Muhammed Odeh, 'Architect' of Oct 7 Attack, in Gaza

Israel announced the elimination of Muhammad Odeh, identifying him as the new leader of Hamas's military wing and a key architect of the October 7 massacre. The operation was reportedly carried out on the direct instructions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.

According to the Israel Prime Minister's Office, Odeh had recently been appointed to replace the former military leader, who was eliminated in an earlier Israeli strike. Odeh himself served as the head of Hamas's intelligence staff during the October 7 attacks and was implicated in the murder, abduction, and wounding of many Israeli citizens and soldiers.

Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed Odeh's elimination in a post on X, vowing to target all individuals involved in the October 7, 2023, massacre. "We will get to all of them," he stated, signaling a continued offensive against those responsible.

Simultaneously, Israel intensified its strikes in southern Lebanon. Reports indicate multiple air strikes hit various towns, including Burj Rahal, Kawthariyat al-Ruz, and Srifa. Al Jazeera Arabic reported that these strikes on Tuesday killed 31 people and injured 40 others. This escalation follows Prime Minister Netanyahu's instruction to "press the pedal even harder" against Hezbollah, amid a surge in drone attacks and a significant number of reported terrorist eliminations in recent weeks.
