Israel kills 13 Palestinians in Gaza attacks, including police and civilians

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli forces killed at least 13 Palestinians in a series of attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The casualties included civilians and members of the police force, with the death toll expected to increase as more injured individuals are processed.

In Jabalia, northern Gaza, an Israeli drone strike on a police station reportedly killed seven people and injured around twenty. Among the deceased was the head of the Jabalia police, Muhammad Marwan Salem, along with several officers. The Interior Ministry in Gaza described the incident as a "massacre."

Further south, in Rafah, an Israeli tank shell killed a security guard accompanying a humanitarian aid truck. The victim was identified as Bilal Abu Musa. Earlier in the morning, Israeli forces also killed a 9-year-old child and another Gazan by tank fire and a drone strike in the southern area near the Israeli military's position.

Al Shifa hospital in Gaza confirmed receiving the bodies of two Palestinians killed in an airstrike on the Sheik Ajlin neighborhood in Gaza City. The total number of fatalities reaching Gaza's medical centers on Tuesday reached thirteen, all attributed to Israeli fire, except for one individual who succumbed to prior injuries. Since the October 7th attacks, Gaza's Health Ministry reports a cumulative death toll of 73,233 and 173,707 injured.
