Israel launches new strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon

Israel has launched new attacks in southern Lebanon after reporting that Hezbollah fired two drones at Israeli soldiers stationed in the area.

The Israeli military described the drone attack as a “blatant violation” and said it would respond with counterstrikes. It identified Hezbollah as a Shiite militia supported by Iran, which Israel regards as its main regional enemy.

In a separate Arabic-language message on Telegram, the army ordered residents of Arab Salim to leave their town ahead of what it called imminent attacks. “You are near a facility of the terrorist organization Hezbollah,” the message said.

Lebanon was drawn into the Iran war in March when Hezbollah attacked Israel from Lebanese territory, according to the report. Israel responded with airstrikes and a ground offensive. Lebanese figures cited in the article say more than 4,300 people have been killed since then.
