Israel to compete in Cheerleading World Championship for first time in history

For the first time ever, Israel's national cheerleading team will take the world stage at the 2026 Cheerleading World Championships in Orlando, Florida. This historic participation, organized by the International Cheer Union, marks a significant milestone for the sport in Israel and carries a powerful message of national spirit.

The Israeli delegation includes three teams: a POM team composed of 18 athletes aged 12 to 14, and two doubles pairs teams. Their journey to the world stage is a testament to the rapid growth and increasing popularity of cheerleading in Israel since the organization's founding three years ago. With around 15 clubs and hundreds of athletes, the sport has gained considerable traction and recognition from international bodies.
