Israeli attacks kill 13 in southern Lebanon despite truce

Beirut, The death toll from Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon has risen to at least 13, according to Lebanese officials, despite a truce that reportedly went into effect on Thursday. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center reported that an "attack by the enemy Israeli forces" on the town of Qanarit, south of Beirut, resulted in seven deaths and thirteen injuries, including five children and five women.

The cessation of hostilities on the Lebanese front was also contemplated in a memorandum of understanding digitally signed between Washington and Tehran earlier in the week.
