Israeli Drone Strike Kills Three Palestinians in Gaza

An Israeli drone strike killed three Palestinians from the same family in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday. The victims, identified as members of the Abdeen family, were reportedly targeted while gathered in front of their home in the town of Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital confirmed the reception of the bodies. Local sources cited by Quds News Network identified the victims as two brothers and their cousin. Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported that the victims were farmers.

The strike occurred despite a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 2025 and amid continued Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. On Friday, another Palestinian was injured by Israeli military vehicle fire east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

These attacks follow artillery shelling, airstrikes, and gunfire by Israel in various Gaza areas on Thursday. The incidents also come after U.S. President Donald Trump publicly urged Israel to halt its attacks in Gaza, stating in an August 17 interview with Fox News that Israel "should not be doing attacks in Gaza."

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli violations since the ceasefire agreement have resulted in over 1,300 Palestinian deaths and 4,336 injuries. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported a total of approximately 73,438 deaths and 174,447 injuries from the Israeli war in the territory since October 7, 2023.
