Israeli stabbed at Hungary's Ozora music festival, two suspects arrested

An Israeli man in his 30s was stabbed on the grounds of the Ozora Festival in Hungary on Thursday, prompting a police response and leading to the arrest of two suspects. The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Hungarian media reported that police were alerted by festival security personnel to the stabbing incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have increased their presence at the festival site in collaboration with organizers to ensure participant safety. In a separate development, Hungarian authorities reported multiple drug-related arrests connected to the festival. On Monday, three men, a Belgian, an Israeli, and a Portuguese citizen, were apprehended on festival grounds for allegedly selling drugs. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them for drug trafficking. Earlier, on Sunday evening, police in Hungary's Tolna district detained a 27-year-old Israeli traveling to the festival in a rented car. A search of the vehicle uncovered a substantial quantity of party drugs believed to be intended for sale at the event. The Szekszárd District Court has extended the Israeli's detention by one month, citing concerns he may be a flight risk due to his lack of ties to Hungary and the potential to obstruct the investigation.
