Istanbul Metro Line M7 Faces Service Disruptions Due to Tunnel Repairs

Commuters in Istanbul are facing disruptions to the M7 Yıldız-Mahmutbey Metro Line due to essential repair work. Metro İstanbul has announced that an increase in groundwater flow in the tunnel between the Mecidiyeköy and Çağlayan stations has necessitated immediate repairs to the track. This unforeseen issue requires a temporary adjustment in service to ensure the line's safe operation.

To mitigate the impact on passengers, Metro İstanbul has implemented a temporary transportation plan. Services between Çağlayan and Mahmutbey will operate with a transfer at Nurtepe Station. For travel between Nurtepe and Mecidiyeköy, free İETT buses will be provided. Importantly, the section between Yıldız and Mecidiyeköy will continue to operate as usual. Night metro services will also be limited to the Çağlayan-Mahmutbey section until the repairs are completed.

Bu süre boyunca Çağlayan-Mahmutbey arasında Nurtepe İstasyonu aktarmalı olarak seferler gerçekleştirilecektir. Nurtepe-Mecidiyeköy arasında ücretsiz İETT seferleri ile ulaşım sağlanacaktır. Yıldız-Mecidiyeköy arasında ise seferler normal düzeninde devam etmektedir.
