Istanbul Weather: Temperatures to Reach 30 Degrees Celsius This Week

Istanbul is set for a significant warm-up this week, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 30 degrees Celsius. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) released its latest weather forecast, indicating that Friday will be the warmest day of the week. The city will experience sunny skies with temperatures reaching up to 31 degrees Celsius. Throughout the weekend, temperatures are predicted to remain around 30 degrees Celsius. AKOM's report attributes the rising temperatures to warm southern winds, known as 'Lodos,' and the sun's heating effect. The forecast suggests that temperatures will generally fluctuate between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius across the city. Apart from brief, localized showers in northern districts, no significant rainfall is expected for the rest of Istanbul. Daily forecasts show clear and mostly sunny conditions from Wednesday, June 3, to Monday, June 8, with minimum temperatures dropping to the high teens at night.
