Ixelles Opens Condolence Register for Slain Night Shop Owner

The municipality of Ixelles has opened a book of condolences to honor Jaswinder Singh, the proprietor of a night shop who tragically lost his life during a robbery on Monday night. Singh, a husband and father of two sons, was attacked in his shop located on Vredestraat.

Residents and community members wishing to express their sympathy and leave messages for Singh's grieving family can do so at the entrance of the council chamber in the Ixelles municipal building. The register is accessible from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The book will be formally handed over to the family following the municipal council meeting scheduled for September 17.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the robbery and the precise items stolen. Singh's wife was also injured during the incident; she was found bound in the building's basement and remains hospitalized. The editorial team of BRUZZ produced this report.
