Jakarta Fair 2026 Opens, Targeting Rp 8 Trillion in Transactions

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially launched the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026, an annual multi-product exhibition that serves as a major highlight of the city's 499th-anniversary celebrations. Held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, the event is a cornerstone of Jakarta's birthday festivities, consistently receiving support from the provincial government.

Jakarta Fair Kemayoran is one of the icons of the Jakarta anniversary celebration and always happens. Bang Yos, Pak Ahok, and Pak Djarot as governors must have visited this place.

Anung expressed his hope that the fair would significantly boost the economy, particularly supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). He set an ambitious transaction target of Rp 8 trillion for this year's event, noting that last year's transactions exceeded Rp 7 trillion. "If it can be Rp 8 trillion," he stated, underscoring the economic significance of the fair.

Because last year it was already more than Rp 7 trillion and I heard this year hopefully it can be Rp 8 trillion in transactions here. If it can be Rp 8 trillion.

Looking ahead, the governor urged organizers not to rest on their laurels. He emphasized the importance of making next year's Jakarta Fair even more spectacular, as it will coincide with Jakarta's 500th anniversary. For this milestone event, Anung has set a target of Rp 9 trillion in transactions, envisioning it as a major attraction for both local and international visitors.

So I hope next year when Jakarta celebrates its 500th anniversary, one of Jakarta's main icons named Jakarta Fair, which is entering its 58th year, will hopefully become an event that is truly in demand and makes people not only from Jakarta, but from anywhere, able to attend and enjoy this Jakarta Fair.

The exhibition, running from June 11 to July 12, 2026, features approximately 2,800 participating companies and 1,800 exhibition booths. PT Jakarta International Expo Director Siti Hartati Murdaya highlighted the diverse range of participants, including MSMEs, national, and international businesses. The fair also offers a variety of entertainment, such as music concerts, carnival parades, a Miss Jakarta Fair contest, children's rides, culinary festivals, and fireworks, aiming to strengthen Jakarta's role as a national economic hub.

This year there are 2,800 companies participating with 1,800 exhibition stands. Participants consist of MSME actors, national companies, to international companies.
