Jakarta Forecast: Partly Cloudy Weather Expected Sunday Afternoon Through Evening

Jakarta residents can expect partly cloudy skies from Sunday afternoon until the evening, according to the latest forecast from the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

The BMKG shared a detailed hourly outlook via its Instagram account, @infobmkg. At 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the entire Jakarta area was covered in thick clouds. By 10:00 a.m. WIB, the Thousand Islands were still cloudy, while other parts of Jakarta were forecast to be partly cloudy.

The forecast indicated a shift towards partly cloudy conditions throughout the day. By 1:00 p.m. WIB, the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, and East Jakarta were predicted to be partly cloudy. Later, at 4:00 p.m. WIB, five areas of Jakarta were expected to be partly cloudy, with the Thousand Islands clearing up.

From 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. WIB, the entire Jakarta area is forecast to remain partly cloudy. These predictions follow earlier warnings from the BMKG about potential rain and cloudy skies in various parts of Indonesia, including Jakarta.
