Japanese group w-inds. adds second Kaohsiung show for 25th anniversary tour

Japanese pop group w-inds. is celebrating 25 years since their debut with concerts in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The first show on September 5th at the Kaohsiung Music Center sold out, leading to an additional performance on September 6th, which will mark the final date of their anniversary tour.

Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement and nostalgia, with one post highlighting the group's enduring popularity. The group members, Keita Tachibana and Ryohei Chiba, reflected on their long career. Chiba recalled an early incident where he and another member, Ryūichi Ogata, pranked Tachibana by playing loud music, leading to a pillow fight. Despite such early spats, Chiba noted they have only argued twice in over 25 years and he has become adept at sensing potential conflicts to avoid them.

Since we've come this far, let's work hard until our 30th anniversary.

Tachibana expressed surprise at reaching their 25th anniversary, vowing to continue until their 30th. When asked about their "golden songs," Chiba chose "Dirty Talk," feeling it suits their current sound. Tachibana favored "Forever Memories," "Feel The Fate," and "Paradox," also appreciating the youthful vibe of "Changing Skies."

The "w-inds. 25th Anniversary Best Single LIVE TOUR 2026 'GOLDEN SINGLES'" tour will feature many of their well-known singles, with Tachibana indicating that songs from around 2010 will be included. While the September 5th concert is sold out, tickets for the September 6th show are available through the Era ticketing system.
