Jasper Retains Western Zone U18 Title

Jasper Williams High School has successfully defended its Western Zone title in the Fiji Secondary Schools Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 competition. The defending champions secured a 20-10 victory over Natabua High School in the final match held at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The winning team scored four unconverted tries during the game. The match was a rematch of last year's national final. Both teams struggled with handling errors, which impacted their ability to convert scoring chances.

Jasper Williams led at halftime with a score of 10-5, having scored two unconverted tries, while Natabua managed one. In the second half, Jasper Williams extended their lead to 20-5 with two consecutive tries. Natabua scored their second try right at full time, but it was not enough to overcome Jasper Williams' lead.

The match served as a curtain-raiser for the McDonald’s Fijian Drua Super Rugby W semifinal, which featured a game between the Fijian Drua and the Queensland Reds.
