Jay Chou dismisses illegitimate child rumors with Australian photos

Jay Chou has broken his silence on rumors of an illegitimate child, which were recently circulated by Chinese paparazzi. The Mandopop superstar addressed the allegations by sharing new photos from his current location in Melbourne, Australia, where he is filming.

Chou's management company, JVR Music, issued a strong statement condemning the rumors as "untrue information" and "maliciously fabricated." The company announced that it has retained legal counsel to preserve evidence and pursue legal action against those spreading the false information. "We strongly condemn the behavior of intentionally insinuating, sensationalizing for traffic," the statement read.

Earlier, Chinese paparazzi, notably Zhuo Wei, had alluded to a "three-character Chinese singing superstar" having an illegitimate child over ten years old, providing vague clues without naming anyone. However, a significant number of Chinese netizens quickly linked these clues to Chou's past business dealings, causing the topic to trend on Weibo.

Despite the ongoing online speculation, Chou appears unfazed. He posted photos on Instagram showing him at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, seemingly enjoying his time while filming the fourth season of his show "J-Style Trip." The gallery itself shared photos on its official Instagram, confirming that "J-Style Trip" Season 4 is being filmed there and that the NGV will be featured in the program.

Chou's tour music director, Huang Yu-hsun, also commented on the situation, expressing confidence and dismissing the rumors. Chou's wife, Hannah Quinlivan, also stated through representatives that "the clear will be clear" and that the matter would be handled by lawyers.
