JDT striker Bergson Da Silva eager for Malaysian citizenship

Johor Darul Ta’zim's prolific striker, Bergson Da Silva, has voiced his strong desire to be naturalized as a Malaysian player in the near future. The Brazilian forward, who has been a key player for the club, confirmed that fan expectations for him to obtain a Malaysian passport are likely to be realized.

Da Silva's comments come after he was honored as the Best Foreign Player and received the Golden Boot at the Malaysia League Awards 2025/26. He acknowledged that these accolades motivate him to become a better player.
