Jennie and Adidas Release Classic Black-and-White Ballet Sneakers

Jennie Blackpink is bringing ballet-inspired style to the sneaker world with her latest collaboration with Adidas. The Adidas Originals by Jennie Superstar SQ Ballet comes in classic black-and-white color combinations and carries the brand’s signature three stripes.

The design follows the concept of “Functional Grace,” combining the softness and restraint associated with ballet with the strength behind it. Jennie said her goal was to blend ballet’s character with the feeling of a limitless, mysterious space.

The shoes have a low-cut ballet silhouette, with a front ribbon, squared toe and elastic strap across the middle. Their sneaker influence appears in the thicker construction, especially at the back, which is designed to help protect the feet from rubbing, as well as in the thick sole.

The shoes use premium leather and soft sheepskin lining. In Indonesia, they sell for Rp2.4 million and come in black with white details or white with black details.

This is another fashion project for Jennie, who previously collaborated with Gentle Monster on the Jentle Home, Jentle Garden and Jentle Salon eyewear lines. She remains a global ambassador for Calvin Klein, which has produced the Jennie for Calvin Klein collection, and also serves as a global ambassador for South Korean beauty brand Hera, whose collaborations include the Hera Rouge Classy lipstick line.
