Jensen Huang's Korea itinerary revealed! He's set to meet Faker and has one wish

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is set to arrive in South Korea on the afternoon of June 5, following his engagements in Taiwan. His visit is anticipated to focus on strengthening Nvidia's collaborations with South Korean companies across various high-tech fields.

Upon arrival at Gimpo Airport around 1 p.m. local time, Huang is expected to head directly to T1 Base Camp, an internet cafe operated by the 'League of Legends' esports team T1. There, he is slated to meet with legendary player Lee Sang-hyeok, widely known as Faker, along with other T1 team members, including Doran, Oner, Peyz, and Keria.

This meeting holds particular interest as Faker recently expressed a desire to dine with tech giants like Huang and Samsung Group Chairman Lee Jae-yong. Huang himself has previously acknowledged the importance of PC gaming, internet cafes, and esports to Nvidia's growth.

Later in the evening, Huang is scheduled to attend a dinner meeting at the "HYUNGNIMJEOYO" barbecue restaurant in Hongdae. Attendees are expected to include prominent South Korean business leaders such as SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin.

This visit, Huang's first to South Korea in approximately seven months, occurs as Nvidia actively seeks to expand its partnerships beyond AI semiconductor supply chains, including high-bandwidth memory (HBM), into areas like robotics, automotive technology, gaming, and cloud infrastructure. Industry observers anticipate that Huang's trip will further solidify Nvidia's role within South Korea's AI ecosystem.
