Jewelry store robbed in Munich; police hunt fleeing suspects

Munich police are conducting an extensive manhunt for at least two armed robbers who targeted a jewelry store in the city center. The pursuit involves around 40 patrol cars and a helicopter.

Authorities believe the suspects, who are reportedly armed, fled the scene in a vehicle. A police spokesperson stated that there is no current danger to the public based on initial findings.

The targeted establishment, which sells luxury watches and appears unassuming from the outside with no display windows, suffered a significant loss. While the exact amount of damage has not been disclosed, police estimate the value of the stolen goods to be in the hundreds of thousands of euros.

Four individuals were present at the store during the robbery but were not injured, according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the stolen items.
