Jewish teen attacked with phone and metal chair at North Miami Beach Starbucks

An 18-year-old Jewish teenager was the victim of a violent antisemitic attack at a Starbucks inside a Target store in Miami. The assault occurred when the teenager, wearing a kippah, was targeted by a woman who approached him without prior interaction.

According to the victim's account to Local 10 News, the woman, identified as 43-year-old Chyvonne Juanita Palmer, began screaming at him. She then struck him twice in the head and shoulder with a cell phone. After a brief pause, Palmer resumed the attack, wielding a metal chair while repeatedly shouting, “I hate them.” Bystanders intervened to protect the teenager and helped him retreat to a nearby restroom.

North Miami Beach Police took Palmer into custody at the scene. She faces charges including aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with prejudice, and disorderly conduct.
