Jezco Chairman Joseph Ezeokafor Freed After Abduction

Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, chairman of Jezco Group of Companies, has regained his freedom after several days in captivity. Ezeokafor, also known as Jezco and father to social media personality Jowi Zaza, was abducted early Tuesday morning en route to a prayer ground in Awka, Anambra State.

The businessman's disappearance caused significant concern among his family, friends, associates, and residents of Anambra State. Reports indicate his abductors contacted his family, initially demanding a ransom of 700 million Nigerian naira, which was later allegedly increased to 1.5 billion naira.

Details surrounding Ezeokafor's release remain unclear as of the time of reporting. It is not yet known if any ransom was paid or the location of his release. Ezeokafor founded Jezco Oil and Lubricants in 1980 and subsequently expanded the business into various manufacturing and commercial sectors.
