Jigawa gov reinstates 28 aides, appoints eight new officials

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has approved the reinstatement of 28 political aides and the appointment of eight new officials, a move designed to bolster governance and improve service delivery within the state. The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Bala Ibrahim.

The reinstated individuals comprise 14 Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants, and eight Special Assistants. These roles are crucial for the administration's operations and policy implementation. Among the reinstated Special Advisers are Dr. Atiku Hafiz for Public Health, Saleh Ahmed Birniwa for Youth Mobilisation, and Abdurrahman Alkassim for Local Government Affairs I. Others include Haladu Usman for Project Monitoring, Khalid S. Ibrahim for Support Groups, and Dr. Habib Aminu Kani for Technology and Innovation.

Further reinstatements include Hudu Babangida for Senior Citizens, Safiyanu Abba Sankara for Health Matters, Haruna Mairiga for Social Security, and Ibrahim Hussaini Kadeta for Trade and Commerce. The list also features Ismaila Abdul’aziz for Microfinance Bank, Adamu Idris Andaza for Social Protection, Abdulwahab T. Sulaiman for SEMA, and Hassan Alhaji Musa for Human Resources. Among the reinstated Senior Special Assistants are Hamza Gada Bala for Assembly Matters, Husseini Umar BK for Industrial Relations, and Shu’aibu Inuwa Basirka for Nutrition. Mansur Shehu is reinstated for MSMEs and Financial Inclusion, Abdurrashid Illah Ringim for JASCO, and Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu for Youth Mobilisation for Ringim Emirate.

In addition to the reinstatements, Governor Namadi has appointed eight new aides based on merit and competence. These new appointees include Prof. Muftahu Sa’adu Majia as Technical Adviser on Higher Education, Hajiya Salma Wakili as Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship, and Adamu Yusuf Garkuwa as Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs. Mubarak Aliyu has been appointed as Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs, and Musbahu Rabi’u Kaugama as Special Adviser on Investment.
