John Jairo Grajales Gómez has been crowned the absolute winner of the 69th Silleteros Parade, a vibrant highlight of Medellín's Feria de las Flores. The prestigious event, which concluded on August 9, 2026, saw hundreds of participants showcase their intricate floral artistry.

Grajales Gómez, hailing from the El Porvenir village, secured the top honor for his outstanding contribution. The parade celebrated participants across seven distinct categories: traditional, monumental, emblematic, commercial, artistic, junior, and children's. Each category demands unique skills and artistic vision, from the classic, wildflower-based 'traditional' silletas to the visually striking, large-scale 'monumental' designs.

This year's parade featured 545 participants, demonstrating the enduring cultural significance of this tradition.
